Description

A quick and savory stir-fry with vibrant broccoli and tender shiitake mushrooms in a flavorful sesame-ginger sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add broccoli florets and sliced shiitake mushrooms, stirring frequently for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Pour in soy sauce or tamari, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Timing is key: Stir-fry the garlic and ginger quickly to prevent burning. The broccoli should remain bright green and slightly crunchy.
