Description

A delicious and healthy shrimp dish, infused with sweet honey and robust garlic, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until combined.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp, stirring gently to ensure they are fully coated.
  5. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and become fragrant.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the shrimp over warm steamed rice or alongside your choice of vegetables.

Notes

Substitutions: Swap honey for maple syrup for a vegan option. Use tamari for gluten-free. Fresh shrimp is best, but frozen can work too. Optional add-ins: Add a splash of lime juice or red pepper flakes for spice.
