Description

Delicious hot dogs topped with a creamy, spicy firecracker sauce and fresh toppings, perfect for BBQs and summer dinners.

Ingredients

  • 8 all-beef hot dogs
  • 8 soft hot dog buns
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced red onions
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Make the Firecracker Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lime juice until smooth.
  2. Prep the Toppings: Dice the red onions, slice the jalapeños (if using), shred the cheese, and chop the cilantro.
  3. Heat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
  4. Grill the Hot Dogs: Place the hot dogs on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Toast the Buns: In the last 2 minutes, place the buns cut-side down on the grill to toast.
  6. Assemble the Hot Dogs: Spread firecracker sauce inside each bun, add a grilled hot dog, then top with cheese, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro.
  7. Serve Immediately: Enjoy fresh off the grill while the cheese is melty.

Notes

You can substitute regular mayonnaise with a vegan option or use gluten-free buns for a gluten-free version.
