Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, chili powder (if using), and salt in a mixing bowl to make a marinade.
- Add chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they’re thoroughly coated. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- Pour in heavy cream and continue to simmer for 5-7 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
