Description

A comforting dish that transforms an ordinary weeknight into something special with creamy textures and a burst of flavor, perfect for low-carb meals.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb Center Cut Boneless Pork Chops
  • Salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 0.5 medium Onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 0.5 cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • Additional Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pork Chops: Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear them for about 4-5 minutes per side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and the onions are translucent.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy whipping cream and chicken broth. Stir in the cream cheese and allow it to melt, creating a silky sauce. Add the parmesan and cheddar cheese, mixing until melted and smooth.
  4. Season the Sauce: Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper to your taste.
  5. Combine: Return the pork chops to the skillet, coating them thoroughly in the creamy sauce. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve: Once the sauce thickens slightly, remove from heat and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter alternative, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Fresh herbs like parsley can substitute for Italian seasoning. Customize with add-ins such as spinach or mushrooms.
