Description

A comforting one-dish meal blending savory beef with cheesy biscuit topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef with chopped onions in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, draining excess fat.
  3. Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
  4. Whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, and melted butter in a separate bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Carefully pour the biscuit mixture over the beef layer, ensuring full coverage.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken. Use fresh ingredients for the best results.
