Description

Crispy and flavorful cabbage and onion fritters, perfect for snacks or side dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the shredded cabbage and chopped onion in a large bowl, ensuring they’re well combined.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Add the beaten egg to the dry mix, stirring until integrated.
  4. Gradually add water until the batter reaches a thick, scoopable consistency.
  5. Fold in the cabbage and onion mixture until well-coated with the batter.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  7. Spoon dollops of the batter into the oil, frying until each side is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the fritters from the pan and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve them hot, paired with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Use fresh veggies for the best flavor. Experiment with different flours or add herbs for variety.
