Description
A delightful twist on the classic Big Mac flavors, this pasta salad is perfect for summer gatherings and family dinners.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta (shells or rotini)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced pickles
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup McDonald’s special sauce (or Thousand Island dressing)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce for serving
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Cook the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Cook until fully browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Mix the salad: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, diced pickles, onions, and tomatoes. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Add the special sauce: Pour the special sauce over the pasta salad mixture and stir until evenly coated.
- Season: Taste the salad and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve: Prepare a serving platter with a bed of lettuce. Spoon the pasta salad over the lettuce and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, let the salad chill for at least an hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
