Description

Tender and flavorful baby back ribs cooked in the Instant Pot, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Pork baby back ribs: About 2 to 3 pounds, cut into sections if necessary
  • BBQ sauce: Your choice of flavor; homemade or store-bought
  • Apple cider vinegar: 1 cup
  • Spices and seasonings:
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs: Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  2. Season well: Rub the ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Don’t be shy—cover them generously.
  3. Add liquid to the pot: Pour in 1 cup of apple cider vinegar into the Instant Pot.
  4. Arrange the ribs: Place the seasoned ribs into the pot, standing them upright, if possible, to maximize flavor.
  5. Seal and set: Close the lid securely and ensure the pressure valve is set to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  6. Natural release: Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then switch to quick release for any remaining pressure.
  7. Glaze and broil: Carefully remove the ribs and brush them with BBQ sauce. Broil in the oven for 5-7 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Notes

You can substitute beef ribs if preferred, though cooking times may vary. Fresh spices enhance flavors, and you can add a splash of liquid smoke for extra barbecue flavor.
